THE JAPANESE HOUSE announces new album and UK dates

THE JAPANESE HOUSE returns with brand new single ‘Lilo’ - Listen Now

The Japanese House today announces her new UK tour for March 2019, concluding with a night at London’s Electric Ballroom. The tour, which takes in seven dates across the UK, will celebrate the release of her debut album Good at Falling, due via Dirty Hit on March 1. Tickets go on sale Friday 18th January at 9 am – for tickets and more information visit http://thejapanesehouse.co.uk/live.

Produced by The Japanese House (aka Amber Bain), BJ Burton (Low, Bon Iver, Francis and the Lights) and The 1975’s George Daniel in Wisconsin, Brussels and Oxford, Good at Falling follows four acclaimed EPs and her most recent singles ‘Follow My Girl’ and ‘Lilo’. The widely spoken about video for ‘Lilo’ captures Bain and real life ex-girlfriend Marika Hackman act out the intimate and heartbreaking final moments of their relationship. The song is a reflection of an album that draws from Bain’s life in a way her work never has before – a more personal, vulnerable and yet confident body of work. “These songs are definitely more direct” explains Bain, “the album has a lot more of me in it, so it makes sense”. The Japanese House and her band have been debuting material from Good at Falling on her acclaimed recent UK tour, which included a sold out date at London’s Scala.
