BADLY DRAWN BOY releases a new single entitled 'Is This A Dream?' - Listen Now

Badly Drawn Boy, aka Damon Gough, releases a new single entitled ‘Is This A Dream?’ today, through Kobalt Music. Produced and mixed in Stockport last year by Gethin Pearson (Kele Okereke, JAWS) after original production by Youth (The Verve, Paul McCartney), the single marks the end of a seven-year recording break and is accompanied by a stunning animated video by Broken Antler.

‘Is This A Dream?’ shows Gough pushing forward yet again both musically and lyrically whilst retaining some of his classic trademarks and as always wearing his heart on his sleeve. The single is available to download from the usual sites,

The song is a sound collage of chaos and confusion to reflect the ridiculous times we live in. A deliberately cartoonesque sonic poke in the eye, to those in whom we place trust, yet instead supply constant barrage of misinformation followed by bad decisions.” Badly Drawn Boy

To celebrate the release of the single the Mercury Music Prize winner is playing a ’Sold Out’ London show at The Roundhouse in Chalk Farm with his new band where they will be playing a mixture of old and new songs. Details of the new Badly Drawn Boy album will be revealed soon.
