VIDEO PREMIERE: Will Purdue - 'Call My Name' - Watch Now

XS Noize is pleased to premiere the video for ‘Call My Name’ from Will Purdue. Will is an Alt-Country Singer-songwriter, inspired by the likes of The National, R.E.M. and Leonard Cohen.

His new EP ‘Call My Name’ is released in October and features four alt-country tracks with confessional lyrics really at the forefront. With Springsteen’s Nebraska an inspiration, Will stripped right back to the bare bones of acoustic guitar, violin and pedal steel to really let the songs tell their story and for the emotion of the vocals to shine through. It was recorded at the famous Church Studios (U2 / Adele) in London. Expect an intensity to his live performances, a deep honesty to his lyrics and big choruses.

Will has performed at Celtic Connections Festival at Glasgow Concert Hall as well as other festivals including Byline, Kaya World Music, London Blues Fest (Reading Leg) and Always The Sun. He has supported two of his influences (Jessie Malin at Oxford o2 Academy and Dave McPherson of Inme at Central Studio Basingstoke), and hosted successful evenings himself at The Troubadour, Earls Court and The Half Moon, Putney.
