Dylan John Thomas Announces Belfast Show At Limelight 1

Dylan John Thomas

Dylan John Thomas will play Limelight 1, Belfast, on December 1, 2026. The Scottish singer-songwriter has built his fanbase from the ground up, first sharpening his craft through busking on the streets of Glasgow before going on to support major names including Gerry Cinnamon, Ocean Colour Scene and Liam Gallagher.

Thomas has since become one of Scotland’s most exciting breakthrough artists, winning Breakthrough Artist at the Scottish Music Awards in 2022 and building a devoted live following across the UK and Ireland.

His self-titled 2021 EP marked a major step forward, featuring songs including “Jenna,” “When I Get Home,” “Feel The Fire” and the deeply personal “Wake Up Ma.” His follow-up, EP2, further expanded his sound, with tracks such as “Battle Of Alesia” and “Fever.”

Thomas has also performed on major festival stages including TRNSMT, Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds, while his headline shows have continued to grow, including multiple dates at Glasgow’s Barrowland due to high demand.

Speaking about the role busking played in his development, Thomas said: “The only reason I started busking was because I knew I was shite and the only way I was going to get better was for me to be playing in front of people every single day. I got up at five in the morning and played every single day for years. If it wasn’t for that I wouldn’t be able to go on tour and play in front of people.”

His debut album was recorded in Liverpool with his band — Cam Robinson, Liam Cassidy and Steven Liddle — and produced with Rich Turvey. The record showcases Thomas’ growing confidence as a songwriter, mixing life-affirming choruses with more personal, emotionally direct material.
