TRACK PREMIERE: The Baskervilles - ‘Throwing Shade’

Blend the syncopated grind of 8-bit guitar with raw energy and deliciously gravely vocals and you’ve got British rock outfit The Baskervilles. Serving up their own breed of hard-hitting rock with their new single ‘Throwing Shade’ taken from their upcoming debut EP ‘Champagne Social Club’.

Taking their cues from the likes of Royal Blood, Bring me the Horizon and Yonaka, the four-piece British rock band have received support from Planet Rock Radio, idobi radio and BBC Introducing, who gave the band a slot on the BBC Introducing stage at Reading & Leeds Festival 2018.

Speaking about the track, The Baskervilles stated: “Throwing shade is our semtex down the well of societal sensibilities. Taking aim at the virtue signalers and sunshine socialists who want their brolly back as soon as it rains. The song draws a parallel between the things we are comfortable being outraged by and the things we’d prefer to ignore. It’s also the first single taken from our upcoming EP ‘Champagne Social Club’. We’ll be releasing one song a week over the next month until the whole EP is fully unleashed.”
