PIXX - unveils 'Deplore' Video

Pixx, the creative alias of songwriter Hannah Rodgers, has launched a new video for her song ‘Deplore’. Directed by the Marshall Darlings (the same filmmakers behind the visuals for Pixx’s previous single ‘Fall In’) and filmed on an overcast day in rural Surrey, it subtly reflects the song’s sense of disquiet.

‘Deplore’ is taken from Pixx’s debut release, Fall In, a collection of four electronic folk-infused torch songs, out now via 4AD.

Hannah Rodgers hails from Chipstead, just beyond the fringes of south London, England, where suburban sprawl starts to break into countryside. Born to a music-loving family, her creative talents were recognised early on, earning her a place at The BRIT School, the renowned performing arts college located near her home. Inspired by the likes of Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell and Aphex Twin and adopting her grandmother’s nickname, the 19 year-old is striking it out alone as Pixx.
