TRACK OF THE DAY: LEWIS & LEIGH - ‘Heart Don’t Want’

The roots of Lewis & Leigh stretch from the Deep South (Alva Leigh was born in Tenessee) all the way over to the Welsh coast (Al Lewis was born in North Wales). Drawing on the rich heritage of these two musical hotbeds. Their debut EP saw lead single ‘What Is There To Do’ spend 4 weeks on BBC Radio 2 playlist, and they went on to perform a live session for Dermot O’Leary, plus for Ricky Ross on BBC Radio Scotland.

This year they’ve been busy, appearing at renowned festivals such as Celtic Connections, Country 2 Country, SummerTyne, and Cambridge Folk. In September they will make their debut in Nashville at the Americana Festival supported by a grant from the PRS Foundation, before returning for a UK tour:
