THE TWILIGHT SAD to support THE CURE on US dates

TRACK OF THE DAY: THE TWILIGHT SAD - 'NOBODY WANTS TO BE HERE AND NOBODY WANTS TO LEAVE' ÒRAN MÓR SESSION VIDEO

Following on from Robert Smith covering their own ‘There’s a Girl in the Corner’ earlier this year, The Twilight Sad will be joining The Cure on the British indie legends’ 2016 US tour.

It comes at a perfect time with the Scottish trio’s Òran Mór Session LP seeing a long-awaited release next week (Oct 16th) on FatCat Records. A collection of stripped-back, reimagined versions of tracks from the band’s last album proper, Nobody Wants To Be Here and Nobody Wants To Leave – as well as its b-sides and a wonderful take on Arthur Russell’s ‘I Couldn’t Say It To Your Face’ – what’s most evident on hearing these vastly different, much starker takes on the band’s catalogue is that behind every moment of cathartic noise lies a radiant songcraft, begging for closer inspection.
