The 1975 today score their fifth consecutive Official Number 1 album with their critically acclaimed new album ‘Being Funny In A Foreign Language’, outselling the rest of the Top 5 combined.
This represents the band’s fifth Official UK Number 1 album in a row and their first on an independent label. The album also landed at Number 1 in Ireland and Australia too.
In addition, the band finished the week with two singles in the UK Official Top 40 singles chart, with ‘Oh Caroline’ at #29 and ‘I’m In Love With You’ at #34, and a total of nine tracks in the Top 100.
In support of ‘Being Funny In A Foreign Language’, the band will be taking their brand new ‘At Their Very Best’ tour on the road with dates across the US in November and December before a run of shows in the UK and Ireland in January 2023 and Australia, New Zealand and Japan in April.
