PALACE – PREMIERE ‘KILORAN’ VIDEO AHEAD OF FESTIVAL DATES

LONDON NEWCOMERS 'PALACE' TO SUPPORT JAMIE T

London-based Palace are thrilled to share the video to ‘Kiloran’. The clip follows the recent announcement of their biggest headline show to date at London’s Scala for 22nd October. Directed by Cyrus Mirzashafa, the abstract video is made up of vintage film footage and animated clay mouths.

In the last six months, Palace have ridden a wave of overwhelming critical and fan support. Last October, they released their debut EP ‘Lost in the Night’, which garnered daytime spins on BBC Radio 1, a ‘Next Hype’ from Zane Lowe and a session with Huw Stephens, and they found fans with 6 Music’s Lauren Laverne and XFM’s John Kennedy.

‘Kiloran’ is taken from their forthcoming ‘Chase The Light’ EP and is released on 8th June on Beatnik Creative / Fiction Records. Premiered on Annie Mac’s show on Radio 1, and with further plays so far from Huw Stephens and Fearne Cotton, and XFM’s John Kennedy, it might just be their most majestic stadium-sized ballad yet.

Launched with two sold-out debut headline shows at St. Pancras Old Church last October, Palace have won over every audience placed in front of them. No mean feat when you consider these have ranged from lairy Jamie T fans – Palace were hand-picked to support him at his London comeback show, and then joined him on his European tour – to topless jugglers to tearful fans. The four-piece also recently supported Ghostpoet in the UK before playing two sold-out dates at Shoreditch’s Red Gallery.

As Matt points out, Palace are made for bringing people together. “We’ve had a few comments about our music being good baby-making music, which is nice. It’s sex music, basically.”

Ahead of the Scala date on 22nd October, they will be heading out on the road for a summer of festivals. Dates below:
