MUSE release the official music video for “Cryogen.” Directed by Elliott Gonzo (Fatboy Slim, The Rolling Stones), the immersive visual only furthers the mysterious interstellar mythos surrounding the band’s forthcoming tenth studio album, The Wow! Signal.

Bringing the desolate lyrical themes of the explosive single to life, the video immediately drops us onto Jupiter’s frozen moon, Europa, finding Muse fully amped at the base of a blood-red waterfall. Ice coats their limbs as they rip through the song, while Matt Bellamy forges his way through an unforgiving polar desert in search of something. Soon enough, he finds it: The unnerving ring-like craft seen briefly in the video for Be With You emerges from the moon’s subterranean sea, followed by a piercing beam of light that seems to portend either doom or the dawn of a new era. Before we can find out, the video cuts to black.
