Ville Valo is one of the most well-known Finnish musicians, who gained most of his success as a frontman and songwriter of the band named HIM that disbanded in 2017.
In 2023, Ville released his solo album Neon Noir and announced a new tour. On the 13th of March, Valo visited Glasgow, Scotland and played fan-favourite HIM songs and his new material. The show was completely sold-out.
The venue was full of people wearing Heartagram symbols that are Ville Valo and HIM's signature. The same stylised symbol was decorating the stage. A post-punk band from Iceland Kælan Mikla is supporting VV during the tour. Their Stevie Nicks/The Cure/Depeche Mode/Chelsea Wolfe-style performance set the tone for the night perfectly.
After that, Ville Valo came on stage and gave an outstanding performance. During all of the HIM songs, there was the loudest sing-along imaginable. At times Ville stopped singing and looked at the crowd in awe. The support for his new record was also huge and the singer thanked everyone for such a warm welcome.
