FEET Share New Single ‘Vegetarian Christmas’ - Watch Now

Following the recent announcement of their very own Clapped Records Christmas Party later this month, FEET are feeling the festive cheer and are today releasing a new single titled ‘Vegetarian Christmas’, a jangly ode to Linda McCartney and “alternatives to meat”.

Premiered on Steve Lamacq’s 6 Music show, the single is accompanied by a merry video filmed and edited by the band at Clapped Records HQ in North London. Check the video out below.

“’Vegetarian Christmas’ is about the wholesome alternative” explain FEET. “Teach, don’t preach is the songs philosophy. We’re presenting the option and asking what’s on your plate this Christmas? Food and tradition is closely linked in this country and we believe it should not reflect the past without working towards a more positive future. Nothing’s a tradition until it starts. Why not make vegetarianism part of yours this Christmas”.

In support of the Christmas release, FEET will take to the streets of central London on the 10th December in a festive-themed food truck, blasting out their new merry bop on repeat & offering members of the public their own high quality vegetarian tinned goods via a FEET tombola. The band will also be holding a mistletoe competition on their travels with all funds being donated to charity. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for more information which will be announced via the band’s socials in due course.

ABOUT FEET

The best records should sound like the greatest night out you’ve ever had. Full of thrills, spills, mind-bending stories, things you’ll never forget and bits you can’t quite remember clearly. That’s exactly what FEET have delivered with their brilliantly titled debut album What’s Inside Is More Than Just Ham.

It’s fair to assume that a band that met at university, wreaked havoc in a Portsmouth retirement village and caused chaos in rural Bedfordshire would have plenty of funny stories to tell. Well, FEET certainly do. Over its ten tracks, their debut album lurches and veers about with unbridled joy, full of bizarre tales that the band have personally experienced over the years. Landing in places you sense even the band hadn’t expected, but always unmistakably FEET and always with a dazed grin on its face.

Produced by Cam Blackwood and mixed by Alan Moulder, the album was released by the band’s very own Clapped Records, receiving top support from the likes of Annie Mac, Jack Saunders & Huw Stephens at Radio 1, 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq., John Kennedy at Radio X & Matt Wilkinson at Beats 1.

Hot on the heels of a frenzy inducing, sold-out headline tour across the UK and Ireland, FEET will soon turn their heads to 2020. The band will support Inhaler throughout February before their first foray to the USA for SXSW and more dates soon to be announced.
