DUBLIN'S MYLES MANLEY STREAMS ODD-POP GEM "PAY ME WHAT I'M WORTH" - listen

Born in the UK but moving to Sligo as a child, Myles Manley started playing music at an early age. Exiting his teens, this then led to him training as a mathematician before abandoning that for an altogether more sensible career in pop.

Myles put out a DIY release, “Greatest Hits”, a couple of years back receiving plaudits aplenty amongst the Irish press for the single, and bizarrely brilliant video, to “Easter Morning” which you can watch below:

After returning from time in New York and playing shows amongst the anti-folk scene over there, Myles has become part of a brooding Dublin scene that has included recent breakthroughs for the likes of Girl Band, Jet Setter and Spies. Two of whom have both released on Myles’ new label, Trout Records.

“More Songs” will be out early February and Phil Taggart gave first single, the genius oddity that is “Pay Me What I’m Worth”, its premiere on Radio 1 last night.
