The exhilarating indie pop brother-and-sister-fronted foursome from Castlerock, Northern Ireland, Brand New Friend is pleased to announce a 3-night residency at the American Bar, Belfast from 24th- 26th January 2019.
With 2018 proving to be their busiest year so far, Northern Irish quartet BRAND NEW FRIEND wrapped it up with an ASH Tour support and released the news that they are set to perform alongside Snow Patrol at Ward Park in May 2019. Their album ‘Seatbelts For Aeroplanes’ has been voted one of the best Irish albums of the year by Hot Press who described it as “ A punk-pop riot that lives up to the advance hype, it’s got us excited for what we might hear from them in the future.”
The band released their debut album ‘Seatbelts for Aeroplanes’ earlier this year on Xtra Mile Recordings and have toured with Snow Patrol, ASH, Feeder, and supported Kodaline at Custom House Square, Belfast. They have received support from Annie Mac, Huw Stephens and Phil Taggart on Radio 1, John Kennedy on Radio X, RTE2FM, Cool FM, BBC Radio Ulster and 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq.
