AMY MACDONALD Announces 2021 European headline tour

Amy Macdonald’s current single ‘The Hudson’ has proved to be the perfect introduction to her upcoming fifth album ‘The Human Demands’, resulting in a Radio 2 premiere courtesy of Ken Bruce and a revealing interview with Wonderland. She now announces details of a major European tour – her biggest shows since 2010. It adds to a new chapter in a career that has seen her accumulate over 200 million Spotify streams, land four Top 5 albums (including her #1 debut) and sell six million albums.

The tour will culminate with a London show at the historic Roundhouse. It’s sure to be a hot ticket after Amy’s previous headline tours in 2017, 2018 and 2019 included sold-out shows at the Royal Albert Hall and the Eventim Apollo. As one of the most successful international touring artists to emerge from Scotland, Amy has played to a total audience of 3.3 million people worldwide, including over a million in the UK alone, over the course of 500 shows (40 of which were festival headline sets) in 22 countries.

In addition to the headline dates, Amy is also confirmed to play the main stage at TRNSMT in Glasgow on a bill headlined by Lewis Capaldi. The full list of tour dates are:

Set to be released on October 30th via a new deal with Infectious Music (alt-J, Garbage) / BMG, ‘The Human Demands’ rediscovers, from a grown-up perspective, that magic youthful moment of excitement and discovery we can all relate to. It finds Amy reconnecting with her indie roots, albeit with a Bruce Springsteen-like widescreen grandeur and an ambition that suits her powerful, resonant vocal. Its themes include getting older, dealing with depression, and falling in love with someone you want to spend the rest of your life with. The album was produced by Jim Abbiss (Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, Tom Odell).
