XS NOIZE MIX TAPE #11 Tracklist:

1. She Drew the Gun – If You could See
Debut track from She Drew The Gun on Skeleton Key records out 23rd Feb 2015 Combined with Roach’s superb voice, it’s a well-crafted track with a lot to offer. With thoughtful lyrics that draw you in from the outset, mixed with arrangements that are well formed together, If You Could See will be a real shot in the arm for Roach’s growing popularity.

2. Soak – Blud (CHVRCHES REMIX)
She has talent coming from every pore, I look forward to seeing her emerge into a huge artist in 2015, Blud EP. Out now on Goodbye Records

3. The Earth ft. Gruff Rhys – Married 2 Me
Super furry Animals front man and singer-songwriter Gruff Rhys detours from his American Interior odyssey to join fellow Super Furry Animal, Dafydd Ieuan in The Earth’s three-minute, synth-laden ‘love’ song. The soaring vocals of Dionne Bennett, singer with Welsh soul-rockers The Earth, have been beautifully juxtaposed with the tender serenade of Gruff Rhys on Married 2 Me, scheduled for special release on Valentine’s Day, Saturday 14 February 2015. An absolute belter of a song.

4. The Lucid Dream -Cold killer
Taken from the forthcoming 2nd album, ‘The Lucid Dream’, released 30th March 2015

5. LoneLady – Bunkerpop
Locomotive pulse & uplifting synth sax choruses// Linn drums, synthetic percussion//restless architecture//upbeat and haunted//Part-hallucination, part-party for one in a bunker// where putting a record on is to conjure Presences. BUNKERPOP is the second single from the album HINTERLAND out in March.

6. Sleater-Kinney – Surface Envy
Album highlight from the reformed Woman band, Sleater-Kinney could very well go on to inspire a generation of musicians all over again.

7. BC Camplight – You Should’ve Gone To School
Lost treasure needn’t be found in the distant past; the 21st century hides many artists who disappeared into the great wide yonder. BC Camplight is one such example. The alter-ego of American songwriter Brian Christinzio released albums in 2005 and 2007, both gems of a certain psych-pop vintage, combining eloquent songwriting with a self-destructive bent. Christinzio certainly knew it – he’s described himself as, “the guy who blew it.”

8. Stornoway – The Road You Didn’t Take (Edit)
The Bonxie campaign has become airborne with first single, ‘The Road You Didn’t Take’ out Monday 16th Feb. Winner of the BBC 6 Music Rebel Playlist it has already notched up high praise across the station. The follow-up to this is the high flying ‘Get Low’ which will be released on 10th April the same day as the album.

9. Pinkshinyultrablast – Umi
Pinkshinyultrablast combine the brittle charm of Cocteau Twins and Mazzy Star with the sonic experimentation of Slowdive or My Bloody Valentine. Gorgeous melodies and the ethereal vocals of Lyubov are drenched in reverb to create an album which is full of interesting moments of pure pop brilliance.

10. The Charlatans – So Oh
So Oh is taken from the new album Modern Nature, out now on BMG Chrysalis.
full album review to follow soon.
