TRACK PREMIERE: Becca Roth releases nostalgic indie-folk single ‘Past Life’

Following widespread playlist support for her stunning May single Goddess, US indie-folk singer-songwriter Becca Roth is back today with another new song.

The nostalgic, melancholy and beautiful Past Life melds Roth’s sweet and sharp vocals to hazy dream-pop guitars, and offsets hooky melodies with a restless and searching lyrical journey. The new song from the LA-based musician is released via Saint In The City Records.

Listen to Past Life – BELOW:

“Past Life is about falling for someone who feels familiar and nostalgic,” explains Roth on the new single. “It’s about big emotions and pondering the layers of my own inner-world versus the universe on a macrocosmic level. It’s as much a love song as it is a song about identity.”

Becca Roth is an alternative folk singer-songwriter originally from a small town outside of Philadelphia, PA. Her music stems mostly from a vulnerable place of self-discovery, and an emotive exploration of relationships.

Roth grew up in a conservative Mennonite and Christian environment and has always used music as an outlet to express her questioning beliefs, deep emotions, and personal life journey. A graduate of Boston’s Berklee College of Music with a degree in Songwriting, Becca now lives in Los Angeles where she continues to hone her artistry, record new music and play shows. Her new EP is scheduled for release in the Fall.
