Tom Chaplin Unveils New Video ‘Still Waiting’ – Watch

Keane Lead Singer Tom Chaplin Announces Solo Album

Tom Chaplin will release his stunning new single ‘Still Waiting’, the third to be taken from his critically acclaimed solo album ‘The Wave’, impacting February 17th on Island Records.

‘The Wave’ debuted at number 3 in the UK Album Chart to rave reviews. The Sunday Times Culture awarded it Album Of The Week saying it is “incredibly beautiful and affecting”, The Telegraph, “the most gorgeous, anthemic, uplifting music of Chaplin’s career”, and the Standard, the Sun, Q and Mojo all awarding it 4* in their reviews.

Tom describes the album as, “a narrative of going from dark to light with ‘Still Waiting’ firmly rooted in the darkest place”. Written by Tom and Dan Heath (Lana Del Ray) and produced by Matt Hales (Aqualung, Lianne La Havas) ‘Still Waiting’ is one of many highlights from the album with the accompanying video shot by Kevin Godley (U2, Blur) who also directed Keane’s ‘Is It Any Wonder?’.

The stripped back video manages to capture Tom’s mindset at the time of writing; a deep, dark place with feelings of hopelessness but also glimpses of change and growth in amongst the darkness.

After completing his first UK tour with his excellent band (Sebastian Sternberg, Rosie Langley, Tobie Tripp and Beau Holland who effortlessly swap instruments to recreate the album’s lush sound and poignant atmosphere), Tom is set to hit the road in May for 15 very special dates that are not to be missed including a show at the London Palladium on 17th May.
