SWEET TOOTH DEBUT ALBUM - ‘EVERYBODY WANTS TO BE IN LOVE’ RELEASED 2ND FEBRUARY

London-based duo, Sweet Tooth are set to release their debut album on the Devil’s Advocaat label on the 2nd of February 2015.

‘Everybody Wants To Be In Love’ was produced, arranged andwritten by the band following their success on various compilation series in France, Japan, Dubai and Poland. It features 12 tracks, including debut single ‘Everybody Wants To Be In Love’ and the now imminent follow-up, ‘Venus in Hollywood’, which was released on the 18th of December 2014.

The new single’s glamorous, nostalgic sound is a taste of what to expect from the long player, and it is accompanied by a stunning video directed by award-winning filmmakers Sarah Sophie Flicker and Maximilla Lukacs (aka. the Belles of the Black Diamond Field).

The contrasting influences of Sweet Tooth singer Fleurtini and songwriter / producer Gavin Hammond have combined to produce a dramatic and cinematic pop album that effortlessly merges elements of UK indie, 1960s underground rock, French pop and electronica. Described by critics as dark, beautiful, alluring and “like the soundtrack to Mulholland Drive, fed through the slink-o-meter”, Sweet Tooth has recently begun collaborating with DJs such as Hiatus, 6u5, Deep Child, Bart& Baker, Tavo and Aleksey Kraft, who have all fallen for Fleurtini’s timeless voice and their ethereal sound.

The band’s uniquely ‘London’ comic-book-style video for their first single has received nearly 100,000 hits worldwide. It featured in countless art blogs, Berlin short film festival and art TV in New York, and solicited interest from artists such as Michael Nyman, Nouvelle Vague as well as the aforementioned Sarah Sophie Flicker and Maximilla Lukacs.
