SOAK is 18 year old Irish singer song-writer Bridie Monds-Watson from Derry/Londonderry, Northern Ireland. Bridie has been nominated by HMV and the BBC as One to watch for 2015. ‘B a noBody’ is her first single since signing to Rough Trade, following a successful first release ‘Blud’ on CHVRCHES label.

This gorgeous delicate song was inspired by her older brother who left college with no direction. ‘B a noBody’ was written about people who feel held back in life, or don’t know what their plan is,” comments Bridie. “It’s kind of, ‘if everybody is somebody, then nobody is everybody.’ The result is a stunning emotive track, which gets under the skin forcing repeated listens. Ironically with songs like this Soak is about to become ‘Somebody’, she has talent coming from every pore, I look forward to seeing her emerge into a huge artist in 2015.
