shame share Christmas holiday single 'Baldur's Gate'

Following 2018’s riotous rendition of ‘Feliz Navidad’, shame has once again cooked up a festive offering for all; this time in the original track ‘Baldur’s Gate’.

It’s a Christmas story; one of ribbons and decorations, but in typical shame fashion, has a darker side lyrically, all wrapped up in meandering and chiming guitars.

On the track, Charlie Steen, who fronts the band, noted:

‘It’s another Christmas classic. It’s about a period of time in which I’d regularly be trekking up to the streets of Edinburgh to see an ex-partner. These are some of the thoughts I’d have when I’d be leaving Waverley station, en route back to London in the winter nights.’

It culminates a busy end to the year for the band, with recent single ‘This Side of the Sun’ currently on the BBC 6 Music playlist, and having just tied up a UK tour which saw them play two sold-out nights at Electric Brixton and headline Brockwell Park’s Wide Awake Festival.
