With the original track doing the rounds on Irish and UK radio (including being playlisted on RTE2FM and getting its UK radio premiere on Annie Macs Future Sounds Radio 1 programme), ROE has teamed up with rising Irish producer 1000 Beasts to release a sultry R&B remix of her acclaimed single, ‘Girls’.
1000 Beasts has received playlisting on national radio stations such as RTE 2FM & Today FM, plays on BBC Radio One, heavy Spotify playlisting (New Music Friday UK) & TV syncs in hit programmes such as Made In Chelsea.
“When I was approached by ROE to Remix the track I was humbled. She’s gotta be one of my favourite Irish artists out there. I decided pretty early on I didn’t want to take it down a similar route to the original so I slowed it down, dropped the pitch, and added a big ole swingin’ moog bassline to give it a little bit of a mellower feel and I’m so happy with how it turned out!”
Cian Sweeney (1000 Beasts)
The new release comes in the middle of a busy year for the young songwriter. She kicked off the year with radio spins on Huw Stephens “BBC Introducing tips for 2019” on Radio 1, was announced as one of the key artists on RTE2FMs 2019 “Rising”, performed her first shows in the US at SXSW 19, and has some huge supports coming up with Snow Patrol, Kodaline, Tom Odell, Robbie Williams, and The Coronas.
