PREMIERE: Erin K - Frame To Freeze - Watch Now

Berlin-based, American born musician Erin K releases new single FRAME TO FREEZE exclusively via XS Noize today, taken from forthcoming album I NEED SOUND due for release in June. The album features a beautiful mix of Indie-Folk / Retro-Pop sounds and is the follow up to successful debut album Little Torch (over 3m Spotify streams), released last year.

Frame To Freeze is an extension of Erin’s roots in creating her music, with most of the recording and layering of her vocals being done at home before being taken into the studio. A maturity in Erin’s vocals on I Need Sound is reflected in this third single, with her mainly autobiographical songs inspired by strange and uncomfortable events; often with a lighthearted portrayal of a harmful or weighted experience.

The video; directed by Peter&derWolf in Laborgras dance studio Berlin is centred around dance, as part of a series of releases Erin has created for the album. The mirrors create a dynamic visual display, employing some fun tricks to transform the simple single space.

Peter&derWolf is a Berlin-based collective of the filmmakers Peter Domsch and Wolf Gresenz. Both team up to produce and direct projects they love. From music videos, artist documentations and concert films to ad campaigns.

Frame To Freeze is taken from upcoming album I NEED SOUND, recorded in Squarehead Studios in Kent with producer Kristofer Harris (Belle & Sebastian). The album features a number of UK-based musicians including Johannes Refesdal of Bear’s Den.
