PASSION FALLS reveal video for debut single ‘The Greatest Adventure’

TRACK OF THE DAY: PASSION FALLS - 'The Greatest Adventure'

Manchester 4 piece Passion Falls have unveiled the video for their debut new single ‘The Greatest Adventure’, ahead of the release of their debut EP of the same name on February 19th on MUK Records.

Filmed across picturesque highlands ‘The Greatest Adventure’ video sees frontman Jonny Holland as a military officer trying to piece together a hunt for items belonging to his late partner who has passed away. The video ends just as Holland believes he’s seen her by the river, only to realise that it’s her ghost.

Recorded in London with producer Dave Pemberton (Prodigy, Groove Armada) and Manchester with Jim Spencer (New Order, The Charlatans, Jonny Marr) the band’s upcoming debut EP ‘The Greatest Adventure’ is led by the explosive ‘boys own’ adventuring title track, fittingly showcasing the band’s own emotive brand of indie electronica.

Sonically, a marriage of old and new, Passion Falls are at times reminiscent of the epic qualities of contemporaries such as The Temper Trap and Foals, whilst also crossing into the art-house territories of Talk Talk, Depeche Mode and early Simple Minds.

The real beauty here though lies in the band’s individual sprinkling of almost childlike wonder. This comes in part courtesy of lead singer Jonny Holland’s less obvious musical influences, but even more so his ability to throw in sentences that nestle lightly between the heartstrings, refusing to be ignored.

‘The Greatest Adventure’ is available now as an instant grat download when you pre-order the EP, with the other tracks being unveiled over the coming months in the build up to the 4-track release on February 19th through MUK Records.
