Psych outfit Palm Honey have announced the release of their latest single You Stole My Blackout. The track, their first release in 2016, is a short and snappy slice of psychedelic pop that wastes no time getting right to a funky groove, building to a dramatic crescendo that manifests as an onslaught of bone-rattling guitar walls and swirling synths.
The Reading-based four-piece take influences from the psychedelic, shoegaze, electronic, noise and krautrock worlds to create their very own blend of experimental pop, providing a mixture of sweet accessible melodies, catchy hooks, noisy freakouts and extended jams.
Having already supported the likes of YAK, The Vryll Society and Mild High Club, their energetic live show has started to cause a buzz throughout the UK, with the band themselves determined to give the audience a special experience and make sure each performance is different from the last.
Armed with tracks like You Stole My Blackout, the quartet are set to continue building momentum throughout the summer months and with further releases in the pipeline there is no limit to what they can achieve.
Produced by Syd Kemp, Palm Honey’s You Stole My Blackout is released digitally and on 7” vinyl via Flying Vinyl on 6th June.
