The iconic and incomparable Cyndi Lauper has announced a one-night-only performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall – her first UK solo show in 8 years.

The show will see Lauper perform songs from her catalogue of timeless hits, including ‘Time After Time’, ‘True Colors’, and the anthem ‘Girls Just Want To Have Fun’, with her full band at the legendary Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday, June 26th, 2024.

On the show, Cyndi Lauper says: “I haven’t played at the Royal Albert Hall since 1995, when I was there for my 12 Deadly Cyns tour, I was dressed like a Queen surrounded by Queens singing Hey Now Girls Just Wanna Have Fun in all my glory! I had a blast. And not only is the Royal Albert Hall one of the most important music venues but over 20 Suffragette rallies were held there! That makes it great for me”.

The news of the show follows the recent announcement of Lauper’s performance at this year’s Glastonbury Festival on the legendary Pyramid Stage. A ground-breaking Grammy, Emmy, and Tony-Award-winning songwriter, Lauper has sold in excess of 50 million records worldwide.

Her iconic voice, influential punk glamour, and infectious live shows catapulted her to superstardom in the 1980s. With her debut album, ‘She’s So Unusual,’ she became the first woman in history to have four top-five singles from a debut album.

Since then, Lauper has released ten additional studio albums and has been nominated for 15 Grammy Awards, two American Music Awards, seven American Video Awards, and 18 MTV Awards. In 2013, she became the first solo woman to win Best Original Score (music and lyrics) for Kinky Boots.
