MORRISSEY releases new single ‘Love Is On Its Way Out’ - Listen Now

Morrissey has today released new single ‘Love Is On Its Way Out’. The song opens with a beat that is immediately captivating. Morrissey’s timeless and distinctive vocals are provocatively hypnotising over mystical riffs that create a beautiful audio landscape that culminates in a breath-catching symphony.

It was officially announced earlier this month that Morrissey’s 13th Solo Album and 2nd studio album for BMG Records, ‘I Am Not A Dog On A Chain’, is set to be released on March 20th, 2020.

The album, produced by Grammy award-winning producer Joe Chicarelli (Beck, Tori Amos, The Strokes, The Killers, The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, etc), and recorded at Studio La Fabrique in Saint- Rémy de Provence, France, and Sunset Sound in Hollywood, California, also saw it’s first single, ‘Bobby Don’t You Think They Know?’, featuring backing vocals by legendary R+B Icon Thelma Houston, released to great critical and fan response.

In addition, Morrissey’s cover of Roy Orbison’s 60’s classic – ‘It’s Over’ enjoyed a #1 chart position on the UK Vinyl Singles chart this month.

Two Morrissey UK arena concerts have also been confirmed as well as dates in Cologne & Paris. The first UK date is at Leeds First Direct Arena on Friday, March 6th along with a second show set at The SSE Arena, Wembley in London on Saturday, March 14th. He also plays the Palladium Cologne on the 9th March and the Salle Pleyel in Paris on 11th March.

These new tour dates follow the critically acclaimed performances of Morrissey’s recent U.S. Tour in Autumn of 2019 with special guests Interpol. The 30 date tour drew large crowds and received rave reviews across the country.

This new limited run of shows, set to kick off the launch of the ‘I Am Not A Dog On A Chain’ album, promise to be not-to-be-missed affairs if the reaction to Morrissey’s 2019 U.S. dates is any indication. Press who covered the U.S. Autumn tour raved about the powerful performances as some of Morrissey’s best ever, while continually commenting on the strength of his “ageless” vocals.
