Essex based Joe Boyd is set to release a new single on Agony & Ecstasy Records on the 2nd of 2015. ‘Driver’, is the follow up to ‘The Dead Of The Night’, and is the second single to be lifted from the forthcoming album ‘I Survive I’ released 9th FEBRUARY.
The follow up to 2013’s ‘Gutter Moon’ long player, the new album was self produced and recorded live in one day at The Soundhouse in Colchester and was mastered by Ed Woods who worked on The Who’s recent ‘Be Lucky’ single.
Released on limited edition Vinyl, CD and available to download, ‘I Survive I’ features ten brand new tracks and is set for release on the 9th of February 2015.

Joe Boyd (Guitar & Vocals) and his band line up of Matt Curd (Bass) and Cameron Morrell (Drums) formed just over two years ago when he formed Agony & Ecstasy Records andreleased his debut album ‘Totem’ in July 2012. Since then Boyd and his band have been crafting infectious punk pop and picking up airplay at the likes of BBC Essex, Amazing Radio, Saint FM and on John Kennedy’s XFM show.

Taking their inspiration from artists as diverse as Black Flag, Chet Baker and TheBeach Boys, Joe Boyd and his band’s live shows are truly exciting and energetic affairs and has seen them play alongside Pendulum, Groove Armada and Mark Ronson. The trio follow recent appearances at Floridita, The Hippodrome Casino and a sold-out show at Ronnie Scotts with a handful of UKdates in February. More shows will be announced next year to coincide with the release of the album.
