Every band member had a chance to share their individual story of how they ended up in the band named Europe and how unique the journey of the band was. It was also their bassist John Leven’s 60th birthday on the day of the gig. Their manager came up on stage with a cake, champagne and balloons. Everyone in the audience sang “Happy Birthday” with Joey Tempest and others.

The gig concluded with their hit song “The Final Countdown”, considered one of the most essential rock songs ever written. Even though the London Palladium is a seated venue, the audience kept dancing and jumping throughout the gig. It is evident that Europe still has a solid fanbase and won’t change any time soon.
