Since signing to Atlantic Records and Universal Publishing in 2001, Bristol singer-songwriter Gavin Thorpe has written and recorded 5 albums, as well as performing, recording and co-writing with other artists.
A video for Gavin’s new single ‘Run Away’, premieres today. The track is taken from the Gavin's 'Talk Club EP', which is out now via Distiller Records.
The thought-provoking song was inspired by lockdown #1 and is as Gavin describes "about that feeling of wanting to escape from it all. A song about us being stronger together and getting through anything that comes our way." A much-needed message for the current times.
The evocative video for ‘Run Away’ (directed by Marcus Way) sees footage projected onto Gavin's face, including the brightly coloured flamingos from the EP artwork. Watch it BELOW:
Alongside the music, Gavin is also a fully qualified counsellor, something which lead to the eventual setting up of Talk Club - the fastest-growing men’s mental fitness movement in the UK. Earlier this year, Gavin and Talk Club released charity single ‘Soul To Save’.
All profits from the 'Talk Club EP' will go towards Talk Club, continuing to help raise awareness for the Mental fitness movement.
'Talk Club EP’ is available now via Distiller Records. Stream/Download it here.
