Answering calls from his fans since the ‘Curser’s Lament’ demo surfaced online in 2016, artist Cosmo Pyke shared the single in its final form on 29th March – the title track of his new EP that follows on 5th May. The EP precedes his headline tour, commencing 17th May at Oporto, Leeds.

Originally recorded with producer Fraser T. Smith, Curser’s… was Pyke’s first song, and appeared just before his debut EP Just Cosmo. The 2023 CL EP is an amalgamation of updated classics and new songs, each track showing a different side to Pyke’s life growing up in south London with anecdotes of love, lust and heartache.

Singer, songwriter, instrumentalist and multi-disciplinary artist Cosmo spins eloquent but relatable tales of Gen Z life, intertwined with references from art, literature and musical history. Combining sounds from indie, jazz, and blues mixed with elements of hip hop, he is an old soul with lyrical dexterity that smacks of a vocabulary well beyond his years, with captivating wordplay that draws you into his stories layered with irresistible grooves and rhythms.

In 2022, Cosmo’s Brodie Sessions (Live EP) was released, encompassing the audio from his stunning acoustic set at the home of the Danish creative collective. The session’s accompanying dreamy audio-visual production showcases the best of this artist’s talent. Tracks performed at the Brodie Sessions are taken from revered songs that make up the 2020 EP A Piper For Janet, released on Cosmo’s own Pykrete Records.

A student of The Brit School, Cosmo follows famous singer-songwriter alumni Adele, Amy Winehouse, Loyle Carner, and more. His 2017 debut EP Just Cosmo was released in collaboration with renowned producer Fraser T. Smith’s (Easy Life, Kano, Stormzy) 70Hz Recordings and garnered ‘One to Watch’ accolades by numerous tastemakers.
