Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres Tour: Dates, Venues & How to Get Tickets

Coldplay

Some months ago, there was growing frustration among Coldplay fans in Greece after the Music of the Spheres World Tour was temporarily suspended over the failure of safety tests in the Olympic Stadium where they were supposed to perform.

Fast forward to today, they’re excitement and anticipation in Athens as Coldplay will return after a decision to refresh the tour locations, and happily, Athens is included.

Scheduled to continue at the O.A.K.A Olympic Stadium, the iconic quartet will kick off their 8th milestone tour on the 8th of June with another concert slated for the 9th of June in Athens.

Coldplay has already recorded successes ahead of the tour, from being named among the Time 100 Most Influential Climate Leaders following their success in reducing the CO2 emission of their tours by 47%, to notching more than nine million tickets, while also emerging as just the second artist in the Billboard Boxscore history to score half a billion double-up in the top 10 of the all-time highest grossing tours when The Music Of The Spheres World Tour grossed over the $500 million mark.

Since the beginning of the ‘Music of the Spheres’ tour kick-started, Coldplay have undergone remarkable personal initiatives which include the planting of trees for a greener earth movement. The band set out to plant a tree for every ticket sold and has remarkably initiated the planting of five million trees across the globe.

The use of kinetic dance floors and energy-generating stationary bikes has been another remarkable initiative birthed by the music group since the ‘Music of the Spheres’ world tour started in 2022.

This has not only been a credit to their Green Watch campaign but also an initiative to connect deeply with their fans who happily imbibe a sense of inclusion and responsibility in their campaign.

This connection is set to be even deeper when the 2024 ‘Music of the Spheres’ tour kickstarts in Athens, in what would be a whirlwind of musical artistry from the band.

Formed as Coldplay in 1996,  the Chris Martin-led band have grown in leaps and bounds, gaining a reputation for their unique blend of rock and pop. From selling only 500 copies from their first EP in 1998 titled ‘Safety’, to achieving their first ever Top 5 single ‘Yellow’ from the album ‘Parachutes’ which debuted at Number 1 in 2000.

Coldplay’s previous tours have recorded mountainous achievements, particularly the ‘A Head Full of Dreams’ tour which spanned from 2016-17, emerging as one of the highest-grossing tours of all time.

The iconic British band have gone on to achieve numerous awards and global recognition including a three-time Grammy nomination for their newly released ‘Music of the Spheres’ album.

The band have created a unique niche using intimate ballads, anthemic rockers and resonating voices to communicate their lyrics affectionately to listeners. This genre of music has gathered wide acclaim across the globe and it’s no surprise fans are massively purchasing tickets in large numbers.

They’re now set to thrill fans across Europe,  Australia and New Zealand with Electric live performances, set to kick off in June.

Coldplay will tour across different cities including Athens, Bucharest, Budapest, Lyon, Rome, Dusseldorf, Helsinki, Munich, Vienna, and Dublin. The music group will then kickstart their Australia and New Zealand tour scheduled for October and November with live performances set to premiere in Sydney, Melbourne and  Auckland.
