AR/CO keep their intergalactic take on psychedelic dance-pop by sharing the new single ‘Move’

AR/CO

AR/CO are quickly building a reputation among artists as go-to collaborators. They recently joined Sub Focus during his Radio 1 Big Weekend headline set to perform their Radio 1 Hottest Record and A-List ‘Vibration (One More Time)’, adding to a growing list of name collaborators who also include 220 KID, Don Diablo, Franky Wah, The Stickmen Project and Tiesto. Now AR/CO are taking that burgeoning reputation on the road by touring Europe as special guests to 5 Seconds of Summer and joining Kygo’s all-star bill at Gunnersbury Park.

Now AR/CO keep their intergalactic take on psychedelic dance-pop by sharing the new single ‘Move’. With sweet, helium-high vocals, scattered sci-fi synth sounds and the radiant summer vibes of its hook, it’s a big moment that will surely propel AR/CO further along their journey to the top. Its feelgood lyrics – “Let me show you how we do that dance” – will also ignite audiences during the duo’s upcoming live shows.

AR/CO commented, “‘MOVE’ is a call out to the people to let loose and get yourself free. It’s the clangy pianos, big synths and stacked vocals that make you want get lost in our parallel world. It’s an invitation to forget your inhibitions and join us in AR/CO world, a call to movement and an ode to dance”.

AR/CO wrote ‘Move’ with producers Nick Henriques (Loud Luxury, Galantis), Paul Harris (Tiesto, Purple Disco Machine) and Shaun Frank (The Chainsmokers, Sigala).

While AR/CO’s collaborations have played a big part in propelling the duo to 3.3 million monthly listeners at Spotify, their own tracks are building steam too. Early fan favourites such as ‘Night Feels’ and ‘Call Me By My Name’ have earned a wealth of high-profile airplay across the board, with support to date including Sir Elton John, Gemma Bradley, Mistajam and Maia Beth.

Leo Stannard and Mali-Koa’s distinctive vision for AR/CO was to imagine Daft Punk and MGMT joining forces at a futuristic desert rave – and that’s something which permeates throughout all of their music and accompanying visuals. Emerging after lockdown, they wanted to be a duo who could joyously soundtrack life-affirming moments of community, together and good times. While AR/CO is a relatively new project, the duo had already proven their talent as co-writers for artists including Camelphat, G-Eazy and KC Lights.

AR/CO’s upcoming UK shows are listed below. Their previous live highlights have included teaming up with Franky Wah for a Radio 1 Skylight Session and playing the Mad Cool Festival.
