Tell us about ‘Dead Ends, Fake Friends’ on catchy pop anthem released 21st January 2022 Bristol-based duo STAY GLDN kick-off 2022 on a high with buoyant new single ‘Dead Ends, Fake Friends’, crafting a narrative free of constraints, is it a mesmerising follow up to ‘Bloom’ released last year. This is unfiltered pop at its best, peppered with honest storytelling and pure hook-laden melodies.

They say: “‘Dead Ends Fake Friends’ is a bittersweet track about growing up in a small town with no prospects, not feeling like you belong, yet it still shapes the very person you are today. Even when you have moved away from your hometown those old memories come back to haunt you and affect your ability to build new relationships. The video for this record sees us driving around our hometown in an 80s inspired short film. The track is drenched in deep soundscapes, driving beats, luscious harmonies and catchy melodic hooks.”

After individually being involved in play-listing and charting tracks on BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, Kiss FM, Triple J and ARIA charts and performing as musicians at Glastonbury Festival, Isle of Wight, BBC Radio 1 live lounge to name a few.
