VIDEO PREMIERE: London's Rising Darling EFFIE Unveils the Video for 'Worship' - Watch Now

Today XS Noize is pleased to premiere the video for ‘Worship’ from London’s Rising Darling Effie. After being crowned NME emerging artist 2018, Effie returns with the first release, Worship, from her forthcoming project. After lending her vocals to dance duo Just Kiddin on ‘Body Talk’ as well as writing and performing ‘3 Words’ with FooR, gaining the support of BBC Radio 1’s MistaJam and DJ Target, Capital XTRA, and KISS and 1 million plays on Spotify. Effie has now spent the time refining a line of soulful melodies and lyrics ready to grasp the industry in an authentic manner.

‘Worship’, is crafted by Musical Director and Producer Mike Keys and draws on the parallels of religious and sexual devotion. Pulling from real-life experiences and baring her soul, the track is an honest display of songwriting, with a dreamy vocal lifted over a deep driving bass. The ability to captivate through the song’s storytelling propels the listener to a place of uprising and power.

‘Throughout ‘Worship’ there is a real sense of female empowerment laden throughout the lyrics. Often we find worship and relationships can be a one-way system typically leaning hierarchically towards men and I wanted to breakdown this idea and belief. ’ Teaming up with friend and revered songstress Nia V (Krept and Konan, Stylo G), the story is compelling and melodic. Effie’s vocal, captured and produced by 1da, drifts around the music with a light and airy emotional presence.

Having picked up support from notable magazines Clash and Notion, performing on home soil and stateside, Effie has no intention of slowing down and is about to begin her most momentous chapter yet.
