TRACK PREMIERE: Indie Pop 4-piece LOWER LOVEDAY return with ‘Chains’

Today XS Noise is pleased to premiere ‘Chains’ from Lower Loveday. Having already played BBC Introducing stages, supported the likes of Only The Poets and APRE, and received airplay on BBC 6 Music, Indie Pop 4-piece Lower Loveday return bigger and better than ever with ‘Chains’, which drops today. Their fresh track and new sound, crafted by northern production duo Sugar House, is a reinvention for the band bringing a dark grittiness to their already catchy, Indie Pop sound.

Lower Loveday consists of four musicians from the Heart of England with a wide range of influences from the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Blondie, The 1975 and U2. By creating an original brand of Indie Pop and combining this with a Rock n Roll edge, Lower Loveday have managed to find a unique formula of catchy pop choruses mixed with punchy basslines and muscular riffs.

They’ve received plays on BBC Radio 6 Music on Tom Robinson’s BBC Introducing Mixtape with their last release and the demo of ‘Chains’ received national TV play on ITV. Lower Loveday has had massive success on the road too having supported Only The Poets on their UK tour, APRE and Rory Wynne and performing at multiple festivals through BBC Introducing has helped them cement a loyal fan base all around the UK.

The song was written from the point of view of a young man, reaching adulthood and deciding what to do with his life. Having had so much fun throughout his university years, the real world doesn’t seem as good as it is made out to be. The punchy beats and thunderous nature of the song, provide the perfect backdrop for the big, melodic chorus of a man calling out for help.
