TRACK OF THE DAY: BROKEN HANDS - 'WHO SENT YOU' - Listen

Canterbury’s Broken Hands have unveiled their new single ‘Who Sent You’, taken from their much anticipated debut album Turbulence, released Oct 9th via SO Recordings. The monolithic anthem ‘Who Sent You’ will be available 2nd October.

Of the track, frontman Dale Norton says: “’Who Sent You’ describes the moment when paranoia takes over from fun experiences and the strange other worldly voice enters your thoughts. You start to question your own trajectory; even asking your friends “is everything okay here?” as if they are passengers. Who invited this person into my head? Have they got control of this journey or me? Am I going to crash?”

Debut album Turbulence, produced by Tom Dalgety (Royal Blood, Turbowolf, Killing Joke) is a completely realised concept from the young band, centring around the limitless possibilities of space exploration and aviation. The lyrical themes are matched perfectly with their huge, soaring festival-ready riffage and spaced-out electronics, as demonstrated on previous single, ‘Meteor’, which hit the playlists of both BBC Radio 6 Music and XFM. Following a tip-off from Catfish and the Bottlemen, the video for ‘Meteor’ has been featured as a highlight on MTV’s Soundchain show and featured on MTV Rocks.

Broken Hands will celebrate the release with a UK tour which begins October 28th. The band will also play John Kennedy’s XFM X-Posure showcase at London’s The Barfly on 16th September alongside rising psychedelic three-piece Yak. Tickets for all shows are available now via
