South London’s OLI BARTON releases his debut solo single ‘It’s Over Now’

Oli Barton

South London-based indie Oli Barton is fast creating a reputation for his wild, uninhibited live shows that are “straight from indie heaven”, having supported artists such as Kid Kapichi, Baxter Dury and Starsailor.

Today, February 16th, Oli makes good on the promise of his live shows by releasing his debut solo single, “It’s Over Now”, and an accompanying lyric video. In addition, Oli will perform an intimate album launch show the night before release at The Star Of Kings venue in London.

Produced by Alex O’ Donovan (Sea Girls) and mixed by Cenzo Townshend (Inhaler), “It’s Over Now” is an addictive indie-pop earworm, underpinned by crunchy distorted guitars, propulsive drums and powerful vocal hooks that are sure to be stuck in your head; all wrapping up in just over three minutes. Oli says of the track, “It’s in the whole world of teenage heartbreak and social media. The way that jealousy gets inside us makes us into a whole different person and perhaps distorts our decisions.”

Regardless, these decisions have led to an emotionally charged 3-minute slice of indie-pop heaven, consolidating all of his strengths as an artist, a guitar-based indie teenage dream.
