Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds have today released a new single, ‘We’re Gonna Get There In The End’, as featured on the acclaimed new studio album ‘Council Skies’, out now via Sour Mash Records.

Speaking about the track, Noel said: “I wrote this in one night during the pandemic. I wrote it and put the demo out. I wanted something positive and uplifting – just a real, uplifting tune. As an artist, the time during lockdown gave you something to focus on. But it didn’t make that time any easier.”

‘We’re Gonna Get There In The End’ was originally released as a demo on New Year’s Eve 2020 as an uplifting message of hope, later becoming the final track on the ‘Council Skies’ album, tying together bright horns with insightful lyrics in a track that offers great optimism. Following suit from ‘Open The Door, See What You Find’, ‘Pretty Boy’, ‘Easy Now’, and title track ‘Council Skies’, ‘We’re Gonna Get There In The End’ lands its spot as the emotive finale of what is widely regarded as Noel’s most complete solo statement to date.

‘We’re Gonna Get There In The End’ arrives ahead of the High Flying Birds’ December 2023 UK headline arena tour. The dates follow a hugely successful summer of sold-out live performances and festival appearances that began with a 26-date USA tour, co-headlining with Garbage. Back in the UK, epic headline outdoor shows at South Facing Festival and Brighton’s On The Beach led up to the band’s biggest homecoming gig to date at Manchester’s Wythenshawe Park on August Bank Holiday weekend. The performances were rapturously received.
