In January 2015, in the remoter reaches of Fuerteventura, JONAH began writing songs for their debut album, “Wicked Fever”. Somewhere between the depths of the deep blue sea and the arid volcanic moonscape, with neither mobile nor email reception but for that their own antennae all the more finely tuned, the duo condensed the surreal ambience of the place into their instantly recognisable ethereal sound.

With the recent release of title track and lead single “Wicked Fever”, Angelo Mammone (vocals) and Christian Steenken (guitar) seamlessly cemented the success of their breakthrough hit “All We Are” from 2014, which accumulated 4.5 million streams and more than 1 million views on YouTube in only a few weeks.

Watch “Wicked Fever” BELOW:

“We paint with lyrics and notes in order to convey certain moods, and listeners are free, of course, to ask what it’s about. ” Explains lead singer Angelo, “But we don’t have any answers since our intent is simply to spark their imaginations. So they can then sense for themselves what I’m trying to say in my songs through the fusion of lyrics and music.”

“Wicked Fever” is a road trip through the ins and outs of JONAH’s imagination, the ups and downs of their hearts. A visceral kaleidoscope with a thousand facets in which lyrics, music, and sound converge into 11 majestic tracks.
