Irish rock duo Dea Matrona today announce the release of their highly-anticipated debut album ‘For Your Sins’, out on 3rd May. The first snippet of their debut album comes in the form of their brand new single, ‘Stuck on You, ‘ which is out now.

With a crashing bassline and heavy instrumental groove, ‘Stuck On You’ carries the band’s bold, sensational rock ethos with a modern twist. Catapulting and captivating, the song tells of being hopelessly drawn to someone’s charm.

Dea Matrona says that the single, ‘ Stuck on You, ‘ wrote itself after multiple insomniac nights. After taking a break from touring, we both locked ourselves away for a while and I think this song sums up how crazy it drove us. It was initially written as an instrumental and it was the most challenging track on the record to produce. It will be very exciting to bring these songs on the road with us in May & see how people react in real life”.

Dea Matrona also says about the album: “It’s a record about trying to find ourselves & failing over & over again until we realised that part of the fun of being in Dea Matrona is that we’ll never really know who we are or what we want to say”.

Dea Matrona have always been an exciting proposition. A duo that pushes the boundaries of genres in an authentic yet nostalgic way, their debut album ‘For Your Sins’ bestows a passion project like no other. It is an album that bridges together an intoxicating blend of indie pop and rock with superb sophisticated influences from Fleetwood Mac, HAIM, The White Stripes, and Arctic Monkeys drench through. From the thumping and prowling ‘So Damn Dangerous’ to the whimsical pop wonder ‘Every Night I Want You’, the low strums of ‘Black Rain’ to the country swing of ‘Won’t Feel Like This Forever’, it delivers a slice of everything. Easily a Dea Matrona classic for long-time fans but the perfect introduction for newcomers, it is set to draw one and all into Dea Matrona’s infectious aura.

Dea Matrona comprises two school friends, Mollie McGinn and Orlaith Forsythe, who grew up busking to their favourite rock ‘n’ roll anthems on the streets of Belfast. Covering the likes of Led Zeppelin’s ‘Whole Lotta Love’ and Simon & Garfunkel’s ‘Homeward Bound’, they have reached an online community of 250,000 followers and racked up over 8 million views on YouTube. With their hard-hitting riffs and musical intensity, they have established a rare, sensational sound – gritty and real but loaded with melody and style, which has so far garnered support from Clash, The New Cue, The Independent, MusicRadar and more.
