GENERATIONALS UNLEASH ‘GOLD SILVER DIAMOND’ VIDEO

GENERATIONALS - NEW ALBUM 'ALIX'

New Orleans’ Generationals have released their highly anticipated fourth studio album Alix, an immediate classic out now via Polyvinyl Records. Comprised of band members and friends since high school Ted Joyner and Grant Widmer and produced by Richard Swift (The Black Keys, The Shins, Foxygen), the new album gives a tangible sense of the co-captains’ history, revealing itself as perhaps the band’s most confident record yet.

Built up with layers of rhythm, computer noises, RZA beats and poppy vocals, Alix is a good-smelling, subtly sexy, catchy-or-die blend of time-warp senselessness. In keeping with the playfully dreamlike record, the duo has unleashed the video for “Gold Silver Diamond”, which sees the band as celestial bodies observing space dwellers, offering an otherworldly take on an already instantly infectious track.
