Galen & Paul have inspired a wave of interest ahead of the May 19th release of their upcoming debut album ‘Can We Do Tomorrow Another Day?’. Their first track ‘Lonely Town’ earned airplay from Craig Charles at BBC 6 Music and Gary Crowley at BBC Radio London, while their second, ‘Room At The Top’, was premiered by Rolling Stone US.

Anticipation for the project has been further amplified by a performance and interview on Sunday Brunch, as well as news coverage which has included Rolling Stone UK, NME, MOJO, Louder and more. They also recently announced they will be at Maida Vale studios in London on 17th May for an evening with a live session for Jo Whiley on BBC Radio 2.

Now Galen & Paul share a brand new video for the new song ‘Hacia Arriba’, which was filmed in Mallorca, Spain, where Paul first started writing the upcoming record.

Watch the video for ‘Hacia Arriba’ BELOW:

‘Hacia Arriba’ translates as ‘Upwards’ and features melodica from Paul’s musical soulmate Damon Albarn. Led by Galen’selegantly enunciated Spanish-language vocals and backed by Paul’s booming arribas, it’s a distinctly European twist on dusky Tejano music. As with the rest of the parent album, ‘Hacia Arriba’ was produced by the legendary Tony Visconti (David Bowie, T-Rex, Sparks) with a band that also features Simon Tong (The Verve, The Good, The Bad and The Queen) and Sebastian Rochford (Polar Bear, David Byrne, Patti Smith).

As we’ve seen from their singles so far, the ‘Can We Do Tomorrow Another Day?’ album voyages across European music cultures, with the duo’s bilingual vocals leading eclectic music which takes in French chansons, Spanish pop and English sea shanties; evoking scenes stretching from Edgware Road to Hydra Island; and painting pictures of everything from chic Parisian cafes to drunk tourists in Magaluf.

Galen & Paul recently announced details of their first shows together at London’s Tabernacle (June 7th) and La Maroquinerie in Paris (June 11th). Any remaining tickets are available HERE for London and HERE for Paris.
