FEEDER Reveal new single 'VEINS' - listen HERE

Following the recent announcement of ‘The Best of Feeder’, today, British rock heroes FEEDER reveal their brand new single ‘Veins’ which will be officially released on 14th August via BMG Records.

‘Veins’ is part of the new, comprehensive release that celebrates the incredible career that Feeder have enjoyed for over two decades, and includes a full new record by a band re-invigorated by the recent success of their last studio album, 2016’s ‘All Bright Electric’.

‘Feeder; The Best Of’ will be available digitally, as a deluxe packaged 4 disc vinyl, deluxe 3CD collection or standard double CD. Both deluxe options will include the brand new 9 track album, ‘Arrow’, and the double CD will feature 4 of those new tracks, including the new single ‘Veins’. The band’s 13th album will be released via BMG on September 29th.

‘Veins’ is classic Feeder, anthemic, bold, full of arpeggiated, crunchy guitar riffs and instant melodies that have become trademarks of the band for almost a quarter of a century. The song has had an interesting journey from start to finish. Recorded in NYC with longtime friend and producer Brian Sperber, the drums and bass were then re-cut and finished at Grant’s home studio, before Chris Sheldon mixed it here in the UK.

Of the track, lead singer/guitarist and songwriter Grant Nicholas commented “It’s a song about life, and the importance of democracy, and looking to the future; with all that’s happening in the world, it feels even more relevant now than when I wrote it”.

Nicholas is currently in the best creative space of his life. Adding “I remember sitting in a classroom at school aged 11 drawing pictures of flying V guitars and dreaming of being in a band, a band that could fill arenas and stadiums. The dream came true and here I am 25 years later with Feeder and still riding the rock and roll train. It’s hard to believe that Swim, the first mini album, was released 21 years ago. It feels like yesterday.”

Always exhilarating, always celebratory, tracks such as ‘Just The Way I’m Feeling’, ‘Buck Rogers’, ‘Feeling a Moment’ and ‘Lost & Found’ are just a handful of the twenty top 40 hit singles the band have enjoyed over their 21 year recording career, and ‘The Best of FEEDER’ showcases just why the band are consistently one of the best British rock bands of the last two decades. “After the success of ‘All Bright Electric’ it felt like the perfect time to release a Best Of, to remind people of our story so far, and the music we have created over the years” said Grant.

In support of this album release, Feeder have released further exciting information about their previously announced Homecoming Show at Chepstow Races on Friday Aug 25th. The very special show will see the band perform a Best Of set-list to include the band’s hit singles between 1996-2017, all of which are featured on the new record. Feeder first shot to fame when their debut EP ‘Swim’ was released to huge critical acclaim in 1996. Since then, Feeder have released nine studio albums, three compilations, 41 E.P.s and singles, spending a combined total of 181 weeks on the singles and albums charts. They’ve accumulated 25 top 75 singles, 20 of them in the Top 40, and amassed over 5 million record sales, including 3 Platinum and 2 Gold Albums. Feeder have not just survived the last 21 years, they’ve flourished beyond compare.

“We are proud of this album and hopefully it shows why we are still here and who we are as a band. There is no one quite like Feeder and it has always been about the tunes” – Grant Nicholas.
