For the last decade Enola Fall have become a fixture on the Australian indie scene, playing major festivals and supporting acts like Courtney Barnett, The Jezabels, Amanda Palmer and The Violent Femmes on tour.
Anchored by singer/guitarist/songwriter Joe Nuttall, the band have picked up press acclaim with Huffington Post, USA Today & Stereogum, played shows across the USA and enjoyed radio support from tastemakers at Triple J & over 100 American stations. Now they’re turning their attention to the UK and Ireland, where they’ll be touring and playing festivals next year with the release of their new album ‘Heliotropic’.
‘Heliotropic’ was recorded in Sydney with Lachlan Mitchell (The Vines/The Jezabels) and is a fitting introduction to Enola Fall for European audiences – urgent, melodic and deceptively dark, if offers 8 examples of their windswept indie rock full of earworm hooks and an insistent energy. Lead single ‘Stab On!’ has been picking up radio play and it’s easy to see why – sounding like the lovechild of The Cure and The Strokes, it’s set to become a firm favourite with the band’s growing audience.
