DERMOT KENNEDY announces his biggest ever UK tour to date

DERMOT KENNEDY announces his largest ever Belfast show at Belsonic, Ormeau Park on Thursday, June 25th 2020

Today #1 selling artist DERMOT KENNEDY announces his biggest ever UK tour to date including a headline show at London’s Alexandra Palace. This follows the release of his long-awaited #1 debut album ‘WITHOUT FEAR.’

The tour starts in Manchester at the O2 Victoria Warehouse, then goes to the O2 Academy in Glasgow and culminates in his biggest ever London headline show to date at Alexandra Palace. This comes ahead of three huge outdoor performances across Ireland in June 2020, starting at Malahide Castle in Dublin then Independent Park in Cork and finishing at Belsonic Festival in Belfast. This run of dates set a new record for Dermot with all 50,000 tickets selling out in under 10 minutes.

‘Without Fear’, which reached #1 in the Official UK and Irish Charts and #18 in the Billboard Top 100, has proven Dermot to be a true star across the globe. The album was the fastest-selling debut album of the year in Ireland and still sits at #1 after five weeks, equalling the record for this decade. The lead single from the record ‘Outnumbered’ is now GOLD in the UK, reached #6 at its peak and became one of the longest-running tracks playlisted on Radio 1 this year.

This all comes ahead of his biggest run of tour dates yet this December, including two sold-out dates at London’s Eventim Apollo on December 2nd and 3rd and finishing with two huge shows at Dublin’s 3Arena on December 22nd and 23rd – which sold all 25,000 tickets in just 15 minutes. This culminates with a total 120,000 tickets sold across his European dates this autumn alone.

At the nearest count Dermot’s total streaming numbers have passed 750 million and with impressive recent TV performances on The Jonathan Ross Show, Sunday Brunch, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and The Ellen Show, Dermot shows absolutely no signs of slowing down.
