The multi-faceted Persian/New Zealander artist CHAII has joined forces with rappers Kings and eleven7four plus producer Rory Noble (Kanye West, Ruel) to create the brand new single ‘Might Just’. The single follows CHAII’s previous tastemaker support from Radio 1, Wonderland, Spindle, Sunday Times Culture, Clash, Independent and GUAP.

This collaboration between three of New Zealand’s most in-demand musical acts has produced dazzling results. ‘Might Just’gives each artist the space to shine. CHAII’s attention-grabbing sass and strut leads the track, her melodic voice giving its intro an enticing edge before she hits hard with its instantly addictive hook. Kings then brings the fire with rapid, razor-sharp rhymes before eleven7four complete the package with their larger-than-life energy.

CHAII recalls the making of ‘Might Just’: “I was in the studio with Rory, Kings and eleven7four at a time where we were in and out of lockdowns. We were all in a similar mind space of how crazy the world is – and you never know what might just happen.”

Directed by Connor Pritchard, the ‘Might Just’ video perfectly captures the track’s energy. It finds the three artists flexing, their undeniable chemistry lighting up scenes on a plane, in the club and by the pool.

A performer, writer, producer, audio engineer and director, CHAII is a fearless artist providing a strong voice for her generation. Her previous release ‘Oh Nah Yeah’ was a typically incendiary collab with Party Favor, while last year’s ‘Lightswitch’ EP and visual trilogy demonstrated her creative ambition and scope as it explored the exodus of Iranian creative talents to California in the wake of the country’s Islamic Revolution.

CHAII’s growing acclaim resulted in her being chosen as the first-ever NZ Spotify RADAR artist: a global emerging artist platform that helped launch international stars including Lauv, Jorja Smith and King Princess. Her vision has been heralded by some of the world’s biggest brands, as her music has featured in campaigns for the iPhone 12+ launch and for Fendi, as well as on the soundtracks to Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater and FIFA 2021.

Kings, real name Kingdon Chapple-Wilson, is a New Zealand rapper, singer and songwriter who broke the nation’s record for longest-running #1 single in 2017 for his track ‘Don’t Worry Bout It’.

eleven7four are twin brothers Muche and Shingi. Originally from Zimbabwe, they grew up in Auckland, where they developed their potent, distinct hip-hop style. They later graced the stage with some of rap music’s biggest names, including Chance the Rapper and Wiz Khalifa.
