At XS Noize, new music is dear to our hearts and we believe that genuinely talented fresh artists deserve a platform to share their material with the world. As such, we will now be showcasing one unsigned act every week, hand picked from submissions by Tom Day for the world to hear. Great news for all you audiophiles out there, but more importantly for those who’s voices deserve to be lifted from the crowd.
This Weeks Artist:
The Twisted Dolls
For fans of:
T-Rex, Kill it Kid, Wolfmother
In their own words:
We’re a Garage-Rock/Blues trio based in Manchester, UK, playing as many fuzzy riffs and catchy melodies as we can! We’ve been playing up and down the UK for around 18 months on the underground scene, trying to reach as many people as possible, putting on as good a show as possible! Heavily influenced by the blues, and it’s energetic rock n’ roll interpretations; we worship the likes of Cream, Led Zep, David Bowie and T-Rex! People do sometimes say they can hear a shade of glam in our music.
We love getting new fans into the fold, hand making t-shirts that read ”Are you a Twisted Doll?”, to try and bring a true rock n’ roll gang feel to it. We’ve just started to get some good radio play in the UK, and are playing shows as if our life depends on them! We aim to always have you leaving a gig with a catchy tune in your head, we want everyone to be a Twisted Doll!

“King of the Blues”
Why Tom chose The Twisted Dolls for the showcase:
The opening riff to Bluesbreaker held my immediate attention and the rest of the songs on their Soundcloud were just as good. Their stuff has a raw feel with a good measure of 70’s throwback glam style with a blues backbone. It’s right up my street!
