WE CAME FROM WOLVES - announce debut album!

We Came From Wolves return with their self-titled debut album set for release on 25th May via Sarasota Records. Continuing on from where they left with their 2014 EP Paradise Place, these boys are leading the way when it comes to the new wave of Scots rockers up north. Paradise Place was packed with heartfelt rock anthems and their ear for an anthemic chorus remains, but frontman Kyle James Burgess has poured his heart and soul into the content of each song on this self titled album, with the music taking a darker route.

This is a coming of age album, one that explores the trials and tribulations of the slide into your late twenties as the band leave frivolity and turmoil behind, entering a more centred place. Particularly affected by his surroundings, Kyle also yearns for a better place, a place of passion and meaning within the daily grind as heard on single Am I Useful?. 2014’s Scottish referendum also had a massive effect on him as a young Scot working for a better future, and this frustration and anger can be heard throughout the album.

You can stream single Am I Useful?, due for release on March 30th, BELOW:

However, We Came From Wolves do well to steer away from the ‘angsty’ side of rock erring on the side of honesty, the music reflecting the album’s sometimes darker subject matter. We Came From Wolves have pushed themselves with this debut and produced an album that encapsulates youth, soul searching and hope.

Amongst the band’s early supporters were Rock Sound, The Herald, The Skinny and Amazing Radio – a testament to their broad appeal.

Their catchy melodies and huge hooks are written with a sensitivity and passion that is We Came From Wolves’ signature sound – it’s not hard to imagine these boys playing in front of massive crowds in years to come – fans chanting along, hooked on every word.
